Dance Artist

I’m not just a journalist. I have experience as a dance artist, teacher, and choreographer.

I have created works for National Choreography Month DC (NACHMO) and the University of Mary Washington, as well as dance studio performances. My choreography tends to be within contemporary, modern, and jazz genres. I also have experience choreographing tap, lyrical, and contemporary/neoclassical ballet and pointe.

I have taught at Unity Dance & Movement in Bethesda, MD and the Wilson School of Dance in Charlottesville, VA. I have experience teaching contemporary, modern, lyrical, jazz, musical theatre, tap, ballet, and creative movement. I have experience choreographing solos, small groups, and large groups.

I am available for teaching, subbing, choreographing, and performing in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. Send me an email ginnybixby@gmail.com.

You can view selected videos of my choreographic works below.
