From March 2021 through August 2022, I was the city reporter for The Daily Progress, a daily newspaper in Charlottesville, Virginia. I covered the city government and other happenings, with a special focus on the historical landscape of the city. I led the Progress’ coverage of the historic Confederate statue removal in July 2021.
